You know that Saraswati Puja, also known as Vasant Panchami, is one of the most awaited festivals for students. We celebrate this in our school every year in a grand way. This year was also not an exception to it. Ten days prior to the Saraswati Puja, our Headsir hold a meeting and formed a committee for the smooth conduction of the ceremony. Then we went to invite the nearby schools and the dignitaries of the locality to be the part of the Puja in our school. On the previous day, we brought a beautiful idol of Devi Saraswati and placed it in the middle of the hall room, which, along with the school compound, was beautifully decorated with flowers, ribbons and papers.
On the morning of the day of Puja, we all reached the school wearing white and basanti dresses. The priest worshiped the goddess and we all gave Pushpanjali to Saraswati Mata. After the distribution of prasad, we have had delicious khichuris at lunch along with our teachers and guests. On the next day, we took part in a cultural program in the school compound, arranged by our teachers. In that afternoon we all carried the idol of Devi Saraswati in a grand procession and immersed in a nearby pond.
